a City of Bones kinda day.

--art history -- such a hard class NOT to procrastinate for (meaning, procrastinating is way too easy for this class.)
--last night i ended up reading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
for atleast 3 hours...?  Was up til about 5 am??
It's worth it.  The storyline is SO fun.
And there are SO many fun sci-fi-ish details added in, about the Shadowhunters (Jace Wayland, Alec and Isabelle Lightwood) & Clary(& her best friend Simon) who's mother is kidnapped -- & Jace and his clan of Shadowhunters help find her mother//figure out Clary's background story//help her get to the truth of who she is.
--she realizes shes actually a Shadowhunter by blood as well(they fight all of the Downworlders; like demons, vampires, werewolves, faeries, etc etc)
--its SOOO fun to read.  And I love that Jace sounds delicious, and his character is hilarious.  His humor sort of reminds me of EdwardCullen from Twilight...but even funnier.  Sometimes.
--Clary is a great main character, because shes vivacious, and even though she's not PHYSICALLY strong, emotionally her strength stands out considerably in this book.
--I love that Isabelle has a golden whip that she uses to kill things.
--a favorite quote so far::
[Isabelle] "I forgot that's what gets you all hot and bothered Jace,
girls killing things." [Jace] "I like anyone killing things," he said equably.  "Especially me."

ahhhh.  so now i really really need to study for Art History,
since I have an exam on Tuesday of this upcoming week;
and i still barely know my crap.
--I'm also reading a book called 'Scouting the Divine' by Margaret Feinberg
+ I am really enjoying it so far.
+One quoted review for her so far is:
"Feinberg is a gifted storyteller and spiritual teacher.  She has a knack for leading us to an 'aha' insight or a reflective 'hmmm.'" -- The Dallas Morning News
^^Couldnt have worded it better myself.

Ok have a good day everyone. :)
I'll probably be back on here later this afternoon.<3
